Sabyasachi Mukherjee recently shared a glimpse into his stunning Bengal Royale collection, which is an eclectic fine jewellery line. The Sovabazar Necklace from the Bengal Royale Collection is set in 18k gold with brilliant-cut and mutual cut diamonds, emeralds, rubies, tourmalines, quartz and apatites. The colourful necklace has a back that is intricately crafted and studded with VVS diamonds.

The brand recently shared a video that explored how the gorgeous necklace was crafted. The pieces from the line pay homage to some quintessential homegrown elements. “Some of the most superlative jewellery ever made in India has been handcrafted by the master goldsmiths of Calcutta, they’re known as the ‘Babus’ I want to make this legacy thrive again,” the designer shared on his Instagram page.
