'Moon Knight' trailer

The Oscar Isaac-starrer drops on March 30

Marvel seems to be committed to diversifying its catalogue and is kicking off its 2022 line-up with Moon Knight. The fandom has often wondered how the studio planned to approach the characterisation of a vigilante with dissociative identity disorder, and the trailer seems to have surpassed expectations!

The two-minute clip shows Oscar Isaac having the time of his life playing the hero’s many conflicting personalities (Willem Dafoe has major competition). We hope that the show stays true to the nuanced, dark tone that is hinted at in the trailer. Moon Knight promises to be a gritty drama that explores the hero’s dilemma vis-a-vis taking lives. It's a welcome change from the one-dimensional characters Marvel usually rolls out to appease all audiences. The trailer is also packed with easter eggs from the comics, and we suggest the breakdown by Heavy Spoilers.
