Malayalam thriller Kurup, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Sobhita Dhulipala, is based on India’s longest-wanted fugitive. Dulquer plays Sudhakara Kurup, a fugitive who fakes his own death to claim insurance money. The film’s narration is quite complex and layered, travelling back and forth in time to fit events into context. The film directed by Srinath Rajendran opened to rave reviews in theatres and is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Both Dulquer and Sobhita have been praised for their performances. Kurup debuted on Netflix early this week and reports about its potential sequel are already doing the rounds.
