Koel in a sleuth avatar in ‘Jongole Mitin Mashi’

The Arindam Sil-directorial is set in the jungle of Saranda

Koel Mallick is back as Mitin Mashi, the super cool Bong detective, in Jongole Mitin Mashi, and the trailer promises an action-packed adventure. The Arindam Sil directed franchise whose first instalment, Mitin Mashi, released in 2019 with Koel as lead, is making a comeback with a story about poaching elephants in the jungles of Saranda in Jharkhand. And Mitin Mashi aka Prajnaparamita Mukherjee is on the trail of the poachers. The film also addresses ecological concerns like forest conservation and law and order issues like poaching. 

Arindam Sil and Padmanabha Dasgupta have done the screenplay of the film, based on author Suchitra Bhattacharya’s novel Keralay Kistimaat, and Bickram Ghosh has scored the music. Jongole Mitin Mashi also stars Arijit Dutta, Subhrajit Datta, Kamalika Banerjee, Lekha Chatterjee among others. The film releases on October 18.
