Eve and Villanelle are returning one last time

We finally have an idea how our favourite femme-led spy thriller will conclude its final season. The first teaser trailer for Killing Eve’s fourth and last season brings in new characters and some familiar ones. "Do you ever think what might have happened if we hadn’t done what we did? People like us aren’t made for happy lives with happy endings,” the tritagonist Caroline Martens (Fiona Shaw) is heard saying in a voice-over.
The teaser shows a montage of some of the most crucial events from the past seasons and it begs the question of how the new season will tie up Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle’s (Jodie Comer) story. The show's executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle has revealed that the final season is set to be a really personal one. "Eve and Villanelle, having left each other in total turmoil on Tower Bridge at the end of season 3, are thrown into season 4 trying to figure out what they mean to each other and what their lives now stand for. And while Carolyn has shot a man in cold blood, she is trying to find out who is responsible for the hit on her son,” she shared.
Killing Eve’s final season premieres on February 27.
