Kevin Can F**k Himself, starring Annie Murphy of Schitt's Creek fame as Allison McRoberts along with Eric Peterson as her man-child husband Kevin, brings a certain freshness to dark-comedy television. The show is a blend of genres with scenes of the couple presented in a bright multi-cam setup with canned laughter, typical of sugary sitcoms, while those with Allison alone as the struggling wife on a dark path are presented in a darker fashion, with a single-cam setup like those of television dramas. Murphy and Peterson deliver an incredible performance, and the show expertly switches between formats, providing viewers with the feeling that they are watching two different stories with the same name. In Kevin Can F**k Himself, the sitcom wife finally gets her revenge.
