Netflix’s newest mystery watch, House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths is based on the murder-suicide of an eleven-member family from Burari, Delhi – a bone-chilling incident that shook the nation in 2018.

The three-episode true-crime series directed by Leena Yadav (of Parched fame) explores the various theories surrounding the deaths of three generations of the Chundawat family, with psychologists not ruling out the possibilities of ‘shared psychotic disorder.’

The crime mise-en-scene stars Dinesh Chaturvedi, the only survivor of the tragedy, some noted psychologists, relatives, neighbours, and friends of the deceased family, as well as the media and police personnel and eyewitnesses.
