Hoichoi recently dropped the trailer for Noshtoneer, its new original series directed by Aditi Roy. Starring Sandipta Sen, Shoumo Banerjee and Angana Roy, the show’s trailer sets up the perfect marriage of Aparna and Rishabh, with their perfect daughter, Mithi. All is well in their world, until a #MeToo post against Rishabh by one of his university students goes viral, and Aparna’s world comes crumbling down. Exploring themes around the landmark social media movement and its implications, this series promises to raise nuanced conversations around victimhood and consent. Premiering on June 9, we have already added this to our watchlist.
