Ram Madhvani’s Aarya impressed audiences with its taut, unpredictable first season. The crime thriller features Sushmita Sen as a mother who’s pulled into some murky business after the death of her husband. Season 1 ended with a sense of resolution as Aarya discovered who killed her husband, and vowed to leave Rajasthan with her kids. In season 2, Aarya is back at her homestead and she finds old enemies waiting for her.
This season looks bloodier and more dramatic than the last. Shekhawat’s (Manish Chaudhary) father is out for revenge against Aarya and it’s likely she’ll also have to deal with the Russians. Her own father and brother (played by Jayant Kripalani and Ankur Bhatia respectively) aren’t exactly on her side either, and the imprisoned Daulat (Sikandar Kher) seems to be the only man she can trust. The show also stars Vikas Kumar, Dilnaz Irani, Akash Khurana and Mayo Sarao. Aarya season 2 starts streaming from December 10 on Disney+ Hotstar
