Among all the iconic places, there’s one that you mustn’t miss — the Natural History Museum. Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently paid a visit with her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas’, and had an eventful day out. The museum was founded in 1881 and was known as the British Museum (Natural History) until 1992. Yes, it does remind us of Ross Geller from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. who was the palaeontology curator at the New York Museum of Natural History.

The Natural History Museum is one of three main museums on the Exhibition Road. The other two are Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Science Museum. The museum is popular because it houses life and earth science elements from the branches of zoology, palaeontology, botany, entomology and mineralogy. There are specimens collected by Charles Darwin too, along with various other artworks, books, and manuscripts. Among the other attractions in the museum are the Darwin Centre and The Attenborough Studio.

The museum is divided into four zones — red, blue, green and orange. Each area is a gallery based on a theme. For instance, the red zone is themed on the evolving history of the Earth. The orange zone has the Darwin Centre as well as the Wildlife Garden and the Zoology Spirit Building. The Natural History Museum is the home of the skeletons of Rhomaleosaurus and Baryonyx, the first edition of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species, and many more interesting things.
