After a seven-year long haul, Young Sheldon wrapped up on May 16, with a much-awaited series finale that not only saw Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Mayim Balik (Amy) return for a cameo, but also tied up some loose ends from The Big Bang Theory

The hit TV series, a prequel of sorts, follows the life of young Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory before he became a scientist. Anyone who has seen the early 2000s popular comedy sitcom is familiar with Sheldon’s love for his Meemaw. Annie Potts, who played the role of Meemaw, true to her character’s lovable ways, hosted a watch party at her home for the Young Sheldon cast. The family and friends from the show watched the final episode bidding farewell to the series together.

In an adorable video shared on her Instagram, Potts is seen going around the room asking different characters — Pastor Jeff Difford, Missy and George Cooper, Mary Cooper, among others — how they felt about the last episode. While most expressed their happiness, others admitted to having tears.

In the post, Annie Potts wrote, “The #YoungSheldon family gathered at Meemaw's to watch the finale. Great job, EVERYONE, and THANK YOU to all of you who tuned in.”

As the final curtain falls on Young Sheldon, the cherished memories and laughter will endure, leaving a lasting impression on fans’ hearts. We recommend you check out the reel for all the feels.
