West Bengal Police’s recent ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ reel balances quirkiness and filminess, serving the purpose of mass awareness. The police department, hopping on the viral social media bandwagon, amalgamated Bobby Deol’s moves in Jamal Jamaloo from Animal with the message of ‘Perhaps in the bar’ but ‘Never in the car’. The reel, which was posted on January 11, has struck a chord with the netizens, who are appreciating the innovative and witty ways of raising public awareness by the department.
This is not the first time that West Bengal Police has turned to cinema to draw attention to important issues.
