Director Sriram Raghavan is known to be a master of creating a compelling world, only to subvert every troupe in it. The trailer of his upcoming film, Merry Christmas, promises to take things up a notch on both the romance and thrill quotient. Starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, the clip opens with the duo sharing a cosy date on Christmas Eve, before things go South, jeopardising both their lives. Their only option is to ‘Dial M for Miracles’, and resort to some pulpy action. While the trailer gives little away about the plot, the 60s production and colourful Christmas setting is enough reason to catch it in the theatres, on January 12.
