It is common knowledge that football was Sourav Ganguly’s first love before he went on to make the country proud with his cricketing skills. However, Dada ensures that he is never too far away from his favourite sport. The Ganguly family spent their Sunday at Emirates Stadium, watching Arsenal take on Manchester United in a thrilling tie that ended with the Gunners emerging victorious. It was 1-1 for a long time and the Gunners scored two goals beyond the 90 minute mark to win.
Dada shared pictures from the visit on Instagram, with both Dona and Sana smiling after witnessing one of football’s most intense rivalries. The cricketing legend even marvelled at the electric atmosphere of English football, comparing it with the Indian Premier League (IPL). The short video of cheering fans has piqued our interest too, and a live EPL match is next on our bucket list!
