Mahira Khan, popular Pakistani actress who starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, recently got married to her long-term beau, businessman Salim Karim. And the dreamy glimpses from the wedding have been viral on social media since. Mahira too went for subtle makeup and pastel shade bridalwear for her wedding, following the reigning trend. She wore an ivory lehenga with embroidery and sequin work, paired with a sheer veil and statement jewellery. The groom complimented her in a black sherwani with a blue achkan.
The wedding took place in the resort town of Bhurban in Pakistan where Mahira walked down the aisle, accompanied by her son Azlan. This is her second wedding and the Pakistani A-lister was previously married to Pakistani actor-director Ali Askari. She captioned her wedding video sneak peek “My Shehzada, Salim ♥️” and wrote “Bismillah”, sharing the first photo on social media. Popular Bollywood names like Rhea Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Malaika Arora wished the actress.
The 38-year-old played the role of Khirad Hussain in the Pakistani drama Humsafar, which is still popular. You can watch the series here. On the work front, Mahira will be seen in Netflix’s first Pakistan original Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, opposite Sanam Saeed and her Humsafar co-actor Fawad Khan.
