Netflix drops first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’

The show will explore an era, where courtesans were powerful

Netflix recently unveiled the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited series Heeramandi, and it has the director’s regal taste all over it. The clip features Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Shaikh decked up in elaborate sarees and jewellery as they share tantalising glances at the camera. In Bhansali’s own words, the show will be akin to classics like Pakeezah and Mughal-E-Azam, exploring an era where courtesans had more power than queens. While a release date hasn’t been shared yet, we’re super excited to see how this project shapes up!
