Mohammed Shami shared some good news with his fans on X as he posted pictures from his hospital room after undergoing a surgery for his achilles tendon. The star Indian pacer gave everything during the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup when he finished the tournament as the highest wicket-taker, making people across the country cheer his name.
While he gave fans joy throughout the World Cup, very few were aware that Shami was constantly on painkillers because his achilles was injured. Shami would be seen leaving the field for brief intervals after bowling a few overs to go and take more painkillers so he could perform. The pacer will not feature in the IPL for the Gujarat Titans as he recovers from his surgery.
Netizens have already flooded the comments section wishing him well as he looks to come back in style to once again make an entire stadium chant his name. We wish Shami the very best!
