Bollywood couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are now parents to a baby girl. The duo welcomed their first child on November 6. The two got married in April and announced their pregnancy in June. On Sunday, Alia announced on Instagram that the couple have welcomed a baby girl with an adorable post featuring the sketch of a cute lion family —

Soon after the announcement, wishes started pouring in from fans and celebs alike. Madhuri Dixit wrote, “Warmest wishes and congratulations on the birth of your sweet little baby girl.” Aunt Kareena Kapoor commented she “can’t wait to meet” her “mini Alia”. Akshay Kumar, father to a daughter himself, wrote “No bigger joy in the world than to have a daughter. Bless you all.” Several other big names in Bollywood, from Sonam Kapoor, Shreya Ghoshal, to Sara Ali Khan, Neha Dhupia and Deepika Padukone dropped a comment wishing the new parents and their baby the very best. The good news reached Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone co-star Gal Gadot too, who congratulated the new mother in a comment. The year has been great for the couple who have been riding high on the success of their on-screen couple debut Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.
