It’s no coincidence that more and more women are exploring younger matches on dating apps. Turns out Kim Kardashian and Katrina Kaif may have influenced women to consider dating younger men. A study by Tinder reveals that 45% of female Tinder members globally have matched with a younger man (mentions of ‘younger man’ have increased by 70%). Moreover, male Tinder users have also been searching for older women (bio mentions for ‘older girl’ have increased by 35%).

Turns out that Tinder members update their bios nearly three times as often as they did before the pandemic, to let other members know what they’re looking for, in a companion. Tinder recommends the 3/5/11 rule for setting up an interesting bio which entails three interests, five pictures/videos and at least 11 words, to offer the other person a prompt for starting the conversation.
