Justin Bieber has held a special place in our hearts ever since he was discovered singing the ebullient Baby on YouTube (at the tender age of 13). The singer who just announced a world tour bagged eight nominations at this year’s MTV European Music Awards with two singles — Stay and Peaches — being nominated for the ‘Best Song’ award. Peaches, featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, is just peachy! A delightful throwback to old school R&B packed with romantic lyrics and deep soulful bass. Stay, which features debutante, The Kid LAROI, is a reel-worthy ballad truly appreciated by Gen-Z listeners.

Bieber’s fellow frontrunner, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta a.k.a the luxe Lady Gaga has been wowing us since her debut studio album — The Fame — which dropped in ‘09 (Remember Poker Face? Oh my!). Lady Gaga took the music world by storm in 2021 with her banger remix album Dawn of Chromatica that is big on wailing riffs, drum fills and gothic energy. Then came her collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett titled Love for Sale, which is a beautiful juxtaposition of bass line ostinato, high-hat offbeats, and sultry saxophone interjections.
The talented duo may not have swept up an MTV EMA but they're sure to sweep you off your feet.
