BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge performances are eagerly anticipated and The 1975 just performed a number of tracks at the lounge. The popular pop band comprising vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty" Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald and drummer George Daniel, performed stripped down renditions of their most loved songs. It's Not Living (If It's Not with You, a number on their third studio album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships), garnered the most traction, creating a stir on social media as soon as it was released. The song has a strong gospel influence with elements of synth-rock and indie-pop that make for a fantastic listen. Tune in for jangly guitar riffs, crisp vocals and mellow piano chords that are a sure-shot way to beat any mid-week blues!
