Shadow and Bone star Ben Barnes just released some music and fans are thrilled with his five-track EP Songs For You. Barnes revealed recently that Rise Up was the first song he had written for the EP; the number has been styled almost like a hymn with piano and violin and despite having melancholic overtones, it resonates with the promise of hope. The opening notes are quiet and powerful, building up to a crescendo before fading out in a soft croon. Barnes has also enlisted the help of his A-lister friends for the project; his Punisher co-star Floriana Lima stars in the music video for Rise Up while his Westworld co-star Evan Rachel Wood makes an appearance on the video for another single, 11:11.
