Charli XCX’s new single New Shapes is tailored to bring the house down. The number is the second single on Charlie’s fifth studio album Crash and features French singer-songwriter, Christine and the Queens, and the co-founder of the indie-pop band Chairlift, Caroline Polachek. The jazzy tune has garnered over three lakh views since its release!
The music video that dropped on November 12, is an ode to the I-Love-It singer’s upcoming talk show TV Heaven and also parodies sexist, late-night talk show hosts. The music video has been styled like a vibrant reel of the trio performing at a make-believe late-night show and captivates viewers till its final bow. The highlight of the clip, however, is YouTuber and comedian Benito Skinner’s appearance as a talk show host who portrays perfectly how sexism is often disguised in showbiz with a sprinkling of sass.
