ndustry Baby rapper Rapper Lil Nas X just dropped a diss track to slam the BET Awards over his exclusion from the 2022 nominations. The rapper released his debut album, Montero, to widespread acclaim but failed to score a BET nomination for the same. Jack Harlow, on the other hand, who collaborated on one of the tracks for the album, did receive a nomination.
Earlier this week, Lil Nas X shared a teaser of his diss track Late to Da Party, which features lyrics denouncing the BET Awards. He also took to Twitter to vent against the network after receiving zero nominations. “I just feel like Black gay ppl have to fight to be seen in this world and even when we make it to the top mfs try to pretend we are invisible,” he wrote.
