The answer is: Exile on Main Street!
The Rolling Stones’s 1972 album – Exile on Main Street – captures the musical genius of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Mick Taylor, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. The album was The Rolling Stones’s 12th studio album which featured a mix of music centred around the troupe’s patented sound with a burst of outré licks. Arguably the finest music the band’s created, or at the very least the band’s most critically acclaimed music, Exile on Main Street ranks high on Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and sits in the Grammy Hall of Fame. The 2010 remastered version, featuring 10 bonus tracks, also charted high worldwide, soaring to #1 in the United Kingdom and #2 in the United States of America.
The band once said that Exile on Main Street was ‘about as unrehearsed as a hiccup’ and perhaps that’s the reason the music on this album goes down in time as one of the greatest contributions. Tune in to witness the troupe’s raw talent shine through every riff!
