Few have managed to punch wholesomeness and dark humour like Daniel Sloss. The Scottish stand-up comedian has often pushed the boundaries of standup, veering into topics many wouldn’t dare touch, be it disability, death or assault. But Sloss manages to pull it off with his humanity and charm.
His new book, Everyone You Hate is Going to Die: And Other Comforting Thoughts on Family, Friends, Sex, Love, and More Things That Ruin Your Life (yes, that is the whole title) gives us an insight into his hugely popular specials on Netflix and HBO, providing context to many of his opinions, along with some hilarious anecdotes to back them up.
Narrated by Sloss himself, the audiobook version is even funnier and the comic pours himself into every chapter, laying bare his emotions on love, loss, America, Scotland, sex and more with a fierce passion and a lot of swearing.
