British pop sensation Charli XCX who was scheduled to make her Saturday Night Live debut last December, had to scrap her show owing to Covid-related challenges. But last week, the singer made a triumphant return to Studio 8H and performed two new songs from her upcoming album Crash. In fact, Charli was also featured in a sketch as a singing meatball!
Charli took to the stage to perform her and Rina Sawayama’s EDM hit Beg for You first. For the performance, the singer was dressed in a flowy kimono-style outfit and later returned in a fiery black tasselled number to debut her new song Baby. “Thank you so much to @nbcsnl for having me! I felt ELECTRIC performing this song!! And thank you to everyone who helped bring my vision for Baby to life!” the singer wrote on Instagram.
