Techno maker Arjun Vagale just dropped his first solo debut album, Exit Fragments, via Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills’ label, Axis Records. Vagale has been a major influence in the underground music scene for more than two decades; he has been a part of the New Delhi-based house/techno act Jalebee Cartel and introduced his experimental side project, AsymetriK, a few months ago. In his 10-track debut LP, Vagale explores minimalist soundscapes and high tempos, along with some distinct sci-fi sounds.
“You can’t talk about Techno and not mention Jeff Mills & Axis Records right at the top of that conversation! For me, he’s been an inspiration and a visionary who brings real meaning to the word ‘artist’. It’s an immense honour for me to release an album on a label that has defined the sound of the movement we love so much. My deepest respect to Jeff for his trust, and for allowing me to express myself,” said Vagale.
