Indie artist Akanksha Bhandari released her third original, Gumsum, on October 29. It's a relevant and hard-hitting ballad and the lyrics speak of loneliness and the complexities of long-distance relationships. In Akanksha's own words, it's a song for 'someone a thousand miles away, yet closest to your heart'. The accompanying music video makes the singer's solitude even more pronounced, as her guitar occupies the pillow next to her as she tries to cope with her solitariness.
The heartwarming song already has over 30,000 streams on Spotify, and was featured by the music streaming app on its popular Indie Rising playlist too. Bhandari's last release was a one-minute cover of the song Sochon Ke Jheelon Ka from Mission Kashmir which also won a lot of love from her fans.
