Kendall Jenner is flaunting it at the Paris Fashion Week, Zendaya can’t get enough of it and even Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira jumped on bandwagon, which makes it official. Copper hair is the new ‘It’ colour of the season. But is the fiery red, sunset red really all that great? “Warm, coppery tones are popular because they’re universally flattering, and the wide range of copper shades to explore means there’s something for everyone,” says celebrity stylist Alex Brownsell.
It’s definitely a great transitional shade, especially if you’re looking to switch to a lighter shade since it can cover inconsistencies and grown out roots. But how manageable is it really? Red tones fade faster so you may have to switch to a high-maintenance hair care regimen if you want the colour to stick around. A great tip to make it last longer? Cold showers! A big no-no? Steam baths!
