Social Hideout, the pretty cafe near Lake Market, is plating a festive phuchka platter that claims to live up to the standards of Kolkata’s lake er phuchka. The platter sees a twist on the classic phuchka with the addition of cheese that makes for a delightful bite. Packed with flavour, the little crisps are punctuated with a variety of spices and come served with two types of phuchka’r jol — tok-jhal and misthi. Dig in!
