Nutella Strawberry Tart from Cocoa Bakery
Classic flavour pairings reimagined

Cocoa bakery takes the chocolate and strawberry pairing to a whole new level by introducing Nutella in the mix that brings in the distinct flavour of hazelnut. The tart shell is essentially a sable base (sable means sand in French) which creates a crumbly mouthfeel. The crusty shell is lined with a layer of Nutella followed by a strawberry compote made in-house. The wonderful tartness of the compote complements the sugary notes of the chocolate. The tart is then filled with a rich creamy vanilla pastry cream which lets all flavours shine. The dessert is topped with fresh strawberries and a good drizzle of Nutella.
“Strawberries are my favourite fruit to pair with a dessert.They bring a sense of freshness and tanginess unlike any other fruits. Pair it with Nutella and bang! It’s a home run,” shares Chef-owner Arsh Lakhmani.
