Cream Cheese & Truffle Oil Dimsums from House of Dimsums
Light yet decadent morsels from a home kitchen

Started as a lockdown project, House of Dimsums is run by mother-daughter duo, Muskan Sethi and Sonali Sethi, in Ballygunge. They serve a selection of Asian fare including soups, rice and noodles, platters and meals for one. Their cream cheese and truffle oil dim sums taste just as fabulous as they look. The cream cheese is made fresh and seasoned with truffle oil, before being added to the filling along with chopped coriander and shiitake mushrooms, which give it a bite. The dim sum is a charming packet of baby blue, since the wrapping sheet is flavoured and dyed with butterfly pea flower tea leaves.
“I came across this tea when visiting Thailand a few years ago. I knew that it would make a very pretty colour for our dim sums and I started experimenting with a few recipes. Usually people just use store bought cream cheese but we decided to make it from scratch,” said Muskan Sethi about their pretty-as-a-picture dish.
