It’s time for a weekend cocktail teeming with berries and lime, to bring back some summertime memories.
Crisp and fresh on the nose, the Monkey Bramble is light and fruity with grassy citrus notes. Originally created in the mid-1980’s by Dick Bradsell at Fred’s Club in Soho, London, the drink was an instant hit and has become a classic modern cocktail. The Salt House recipe uses fresh berry puree, along with Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin, to bring a touch of malt to balance the tartness. The concoction is shaken up together and served in a chilled glass with crushed ice.
The refreshing gin cocktail features in their special Monkey 47 weekend menu, available from Friday to Sunday. It’s on their special menu right now, but may not be for long, so make a date with The Salt House and try this one while you still can.
