One of the best ways to experience a place is through its food. You could be in your home in India, and taste a slice of Spain with just a quick recipe.
If you have a sweet tooth and are a fan of creamy desserts like custards and creme brulee, the citrusy Catalonian custard known as Crema Catalana is a treat you will love. Often called the Spanish version of a creme brulee, this recipe doesn’t need baking and can be made on the stovetop. Episode 10 of ‘Desserts Around The World’ by @cafecouffee on Instagram, focuses on creating a visually appealing, popular take on this custard with easily available ingredients. All you need are some oranges and lemons (just the peels), a few eggs and whole milk. The recipe shared also shows dessert lovers how to form a crisp caramel crust on top of the custard to win brownie points when it comes to presentation.
