Sneha Singhi’s no-churn ice cream is a DIY wonder

If you’ve been scouting quick and easy ice cream recipes this summer, you’ll be oh-so-happy with Sneha Singhi’s DIY recipe. The Kolkata chef just shared the recipe for her no-churn ice cream that you can easily recreate with the ingredients in your pantry. “This was the best one I’ve made this date. In this recipe, good quality chocolate really does make all the difference. I have started to use @colocalchocolates for all my baking needs. You’ve got to try it out!” the chef shared.
Ingredients:
3/4cup/ 180g Fresh Cream
3/4cup/ 180g Milk
1can/ 400g Condensed milk
1&1/4cup/ 170g Dark chocolate @colocalchocolates
1/4cup/ 25g Cocoa powder
1/2tsp Coffee powder
1tsp Vanilla essence
Pinch of Salt
4tbsp Cornflour mixed with 5tbsp Milk
Method:
- In a pan, heat cream, milk and condensed milk and bring it to a boil while mixing constantly.
- Once it boils, remove it from the heat and add in dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee powder, vanilla essence, salt and cornflour slurry. Mix it well.
- Bring it back on the heat and let it cook for 5-8 minutes while mixing constantly on low heat. Make sure the chocolate melts and there are no lumps.
- Let the mixture cool for a bit & transfer it to a bowl.
- Cling wrap it so the wrap is touching the liquid.
- Freeze it overnight in a freezer.
Scoop into the creamiest ice cream ever!!!
