Move over sauteing sausages or making sausage curries. It’s time to try something new — the devilled sausages. You can team this dish with Indian bread, rice, mashed potatoes, ramen, spaghetti, good ol’ maggi, a slice of sourdough or just have a solo bowl and be happy.

As per the recipe, you’ll need sausages (beef, lamp or pork), olive oil, green apple, brown onion, garlic, thyme, flour, cherry tomatoes, chicken stock, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, English mustard, black pepper, smoked paprika, chilli flakes, salt and parsley.

If in case a few ingredients are missing, hard to find or a tad bit pricey on  the pocket like olive oil, green apple, English mustard or parsley, we suggest keeping the basic cooking method and ingredients as close to the original as possible for best results.

Our suggestion: Perhaps you can use butter or white oil instead of olive oil, regular apple or skip the fruit, kasundi in the place of English mustard and coriander leaves for parsley, keeping in mind the Indian palate.
