The dip in mercury calls for some tasty Indian desserts made of carrot. Here’s one easy gajorer sondesh recipe you can try at home this winter.

Ingredients

  • Carrots: 500 gms
  • Milk: ½ cup
  • Milk powder: ½ cup + ¼ cup 
  • Condensed milk: ½ cup +½ cup
  • Sugar: ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons 
  • Ghee: 2 +1 tablespoons
  • Cardamom:1/2 teaspoons + ¼ teaspoons
  • Channa from 5 cups of milk
  • Suji: 1 tablespoon

Method 

  1. Put diced carrots in a blender. Add milk to it and make a smooth paste. Saute this mixture for five minutes. Then add the first batch of milk powder, condensed milk, sugar, ghee and cardamom. Statue for another five minutes and set it aside.
  2. Once cool, roll the mixture out and set it aside. 
  3. In a heated pan, add channa and the remaining milk powder, condensed milk, sugar, suji, ghee and cardamom. Sautee for a few minutes and then allow it to cool down.
  4. Roll it out, keeping the first roll as a layer.
  5. Cut the roll into bite-sized cubes and your gajorer sondesh is ready!
