Goa is never short of a place to unwind. But new additions are always welcome to the land of sun, sand and partying! The latest to enter the space is Impresario Hospitality and Entertainment’s antiSOCIAL Goa, which opened in December 2023. Covering 4.5 acres of land by Morjim beach, the 49th Social outlet has a corner for everyone. Be it listening to varied artistes, attending a flea market, enjoying the Social menu or taking a dip in the beach, this multi-functioning property covers it all.

And, after a taste of the recently opened Social on Park Street, My Kolkata made its way to Morjim. On reaching, not only were we taken aback by the vastness of the property, but also its long list of features. Here’s a rundown…

Getting there

Impresario has taken building sandcastles to another level with its new property. There are two ways to reach this spectacular venue – one is via the front entry, which comes through Gawdewada Road, and the other is the beach entry, which is directly on Morjim beach. While entering from the front you can see a huge, green antiSOCIAL logo across the ceiling, while the beach entry has a large wooden sign on the beach.

The curved white ceiling is held in place by tall black pillars keeping the direct heat of the sun away. But this mainly covers the 360-degree bar, the dance floor, the DJ booth and a private section. The venue also comes with a superclub, poolside café, VIP lounges, a hotel, and top-tier audio systems.

‘Seas’ the day

Wearing your favourite swimming costume, sipping on their famous LLIITs and going for a dip in the ocean. Tell us a better vacation plan! The property overlooks the ocean on Morjim beach and yes, the sunsets are gorgeous. “It's not just a venue; it’s right at the heart of North Goa. Morjim is a hotspot for tourists, and we’re seizing the chance to bring them some top-notch cultural experiences,” said Mayank Bhatt, chief executive officer, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality.

What could be better than having a bar where the view looks good from all sides? Yes, this venue has a 360-degree bar, where you can either choose to look at the beach or watch the revelry taking place inside. And the cocktails at antiSOCIAL are another highlight. “Cocktails at antiSOCIAL go beyond the glass, they're an immersive journey into flavours, emotions, and the vibrant essence of the brand,” said head mixologist Razvan Zamfirescu. Other than their LLIIT, the cocktails here also come with tropical vibes with Fet’s Luck or a mix between Mumbai and Goa with Agua and Aire. For the non-alcoholic section, Mary is not Dancing, Don’t Drink Don’t Sleep and Blessil are must-tries.

Mood for food

Just as every Social property caters to local style and cuisines, so does the 49th property. The menu blends authentic Goan flavours with global styles, which cater both to locals and tourists’ palates. Chef Aftaab Mullick is the man behind the food at antiSOCIAL, where the menu includes dishes like Wood-Fired Poee Avocado Toast, Recheado Chicken Wings, Yam Galouti Kebab, Spicy Goan Chorizo and desserts like Lotus Seradura.

Get cool in the pool

Not everyone likes to go into the deep waters of the ocean, but the draw of a swim is always there. So, antiSOCIAL has you covered again, as it comes with its own pool. While accessible at all times, you can either do your laps here or sip on your drink while taking a dip. Floating toys make the blue pool lively and this is also a safe space for your kiddies to paddle about.

Entertainment, entertainment, entertainment!

Be it rockstars, ravers, rappers, drag queens, electronic music festivals, flea markets or a café environment, antiSOCIAL checks all the boxes. The venue is known for hosting art, music, cultural events, markets and more under one roof. Since its launch, antiSOCIAL has been hosting some of the biggest names in the live and electronic music scene — from Ankytrixx to The Prem Joshua Band.

My Kolkata landed on the day when Goa Sunsplash was taking place. The venue had three dedicated stages to reggae music, and post 10pm, they took the party indoors, where names like Queen Omega and Anthony B took centre stage. “At antiSOCIAL, nurturing artistic talent is a longstanding commitment. From emerging artistes to established creators like Divine, we support the creative community. Our mission to provide a platform and vibrant community for artistes is a driving force behind everything we do. As we move forward, our focus on fostering and celebrating artistic talent will only strengthen, ensuring antiSOCIAL remains a dynamic hub for artistes to flourish,” said Mayank.

He continued, “Leveraging Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt Ltd’s 22 years of expertise, this new project stands out by accommodating up to 1,000 people on the dance floor and offering seating for 500 across 4.5 acres. With design and innovation at its core, a notable feature is a massive floating electric cloud, enhancing the ambience. AntiSOCIAL is raising the bar for Goa’s nightlife.”
