As part of this venture, the Webel-Fujisoft-Vara Centre of Excellence, an initiative of the state government, has recently partnered with Israeli company Think Cyber.

The online courses to be offered include Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst Certificate, Certificate in Penetration Testing and Certificate in Digital Forensics. They have been designed to develop cybersecurity professionals to meet the increasing challenges of cyberthreats across the country.

Beginner-level courses will offer entry-level skills, while the more advanced ones will help professionals sharpen their skills.

“We have worked hard to make these online cyber-security courses affordable. The courses are designed to make learners job-ready and will help to address the gap for lack of skilled cybersecurity professionals in our country,” said Rashmi Sharma, head of Webel-Fujisoft-Vara Centre of Excellence: Industry 4.0.

India suffered over 18 million cyberattacks and threats in the first three months of 2022, according to the cybersecurity firm Norton.
