Goods vehicles will be restricted on Kolkata roads from 8am to 2pm on the days of the higher secondary examination which will begin on April 2.

Kolkata Traffic police uploaded a notification on Facebook, on Friday evening, regarding the restrictions which will be in place during the state board higher secondary examination.

The notification read:

  • Movement of all types of goods vehicles shall be restricted to ply within the city of Kolkata (Kolkata police jurisdiction) from 8am to 2pm on April 2, 4, 5, 16, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26 and 27.
  • This notification will remain in force in addition to the other normal restrictions.

The HS examinees after writing their first language, second language and vocational subject theory papers on April 2, 4 and 5, will write their next papers on April 16.

The dates of the HS exams were tweaked twice — first because the schedule clashed with that of the JEE Main and again because of the bypolls in the Asansol parliamentary and Ballygunge Assembly constituencies.
