Three more men have been arrested in connection with the firing on AJC Bose Road in the heart of Kolkata on the night of September 12 that left a businessman injured.
The three are Sonu Yadav, 33, from Deodar Street in Ballygunge; Vicky Gupta, 41, from Hazra Road; and Vikram Yadav, 43, from Deodar Street, all in south Kolkata.
Police said they were part of a Ganesh Puja immersion entourage that got involved in an altercation with businessman Pankaj Singh, who was travelling in a car.
Sonu, Vicky and Vikram have been charged under IPC sections related to attempt to murder, common intention, wrongful restraint and causing voluntary hurt, and also under the arms act. Two men were arrested earlier.
One of them, Bishal Sardar, had allegedly pulled the trigger.
