Principal Swami Kamalasthananda said: “We have factored in marks a candidate has scored in the core (honours) papers in the first three semesters.... These marks (of on-campus exams) give a fair idea of a candidate’s command of the subject. The merit list will be out on September 16.”

Earlier this month, nearly 100 per cent candidates cleared Calcutta University’s BCom, BSc and BA exams.

The pass percentage at West Bengal State University, Barasat, to which the autonomous college in Rahara is affiliated, stood at over 90 per cent. The college offers masters courses in chemistry, botany, mathematics and zoology. The candidates had to give marks of the six semesters, but that of the first three were considered.
