Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira bags A++ grade from NAAC

The college has scored a cumulative grade point average of 3.58 out of 4 in the NAAC assessment

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur, has bagged A++ grade, the highest grade, in an assessment conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The college, which was ranked 5th among colleges in India in a ranking exercise carried out by the education ministry in early September, has scored a CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 3.58 out of 4 in the NAAC assessment.

During the last NAAC assessment, the college had scored 3.12 and been awarded an A grade.

Vidyamandira has scored 3.4 in curricular aspects, 3.53 in teaching-learning and evaluation, 3.68 in research-innovations and extension, 3.72 in infrastructure and learning resources, 3.8 in student support and progression, 3.28 in governance, leadership and management, and 3.81 in institutional values and best practices.

Swami Ekachittananda, the principal, said the improved performance was an outcome of the efforts put in over the years.

“I will thank my predecessor Swami Shastrajnananda for putting in these efforts. This will help us attract more bright students,” he said.

Swami Shastrajnananda is now principal of Ramakrishna Mission Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur.

In the National Institutional Ranking Framework of the education ministry, Vidyamandira had ranked 9th, 11th and 7th in 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Loreto House has been awarded an A in the fourth cycle of assessment by NAAC.
