A residents’ body in New Town has tied up with at least a dozen doctors who will provide teleconsultation to those who have tested positive for Covid-19. The doctors who stay mostly in and around New Town will take calls from not only those who have Covid but also those who have the symptoms.
The initiative has been taken by the New Town Forum and News.
Samaresh Das, the chairman of the forum, said the doctors would not only provide teleconsultation but would also aid and advise people in case they feel that someone needs to get hospitalised.
“We have also tied up with ambulance services and oxygen cylinder providers so that we can help someone in case of emergency,” Das said.
The list of doctors along with their numbers has been put up on the Facebook page of the forum.
