Police on Saturday said they had recovered the weapons used to murder Subir Chaki and his driver Rabin Mondal at the former’s Kankulia Road residence on October 17.
The recovery came following prolonged interrogation of Vicky Halder, the main accused in the twin murder case, and his associate Subhankar Mondal.

The two were arrested in Mumbai where they had fled after allegedly committing the murders.
On Saturday, the two were produced at Alipore court that remanded them in jail custody till November 26.
“We have recovered some debit and credit cards along with the driver’s mobile phone,” said a senior police officer of the detective department.
