⚫ Apropos the article “Stickers for AJ Block residents to curb car park”, published on April1 15, resident car owners should park their car in their own garage. For multiple cars, the passage should be used to park within their own premises.

Roads are public places and any inconvenience to the public should not be allowed. For instance, the street opposite the CC Block post office is highly accident-prone as cars are parked on both sides of the road there, including at the turning points.

Parking for several hours should be allowed only at specified spots. This should be chargeable and the fees collected can contribute to the corporation's revenue, which can further be used for road and lighting maintenance.

⚫ Apropos the article “Tasked to fly back Indians in Ukraine”, published on April 1, I felt proud reading about Mahasweta Chakraborty. A pilot merely 24 years of age, she had the courage to fly to the Ukranian borders to rescue Indians stranded there because of the war.

Her achievement is even greater since many other pilots had refused to undertake the risk. Pilots like Mahasweta were the key persons who had made Mission Ganga successful. But she deserves more than felicitations. I feel her name should be nominated for an award for courage and bravery.

⚫ Apropos the article “Two years with Covid”, published on March 25, I have learnt many life lessons during the pandemic.

Among these, the most important one is that our lives are hugely unpredictable. Due to this uncertainty we should appreciate each and every moment of our precious lives.

We really don’t know what's in store in future so we should enjoy life to the fullest as of now.
