The East-West Metro corridor, which is now commercially operational between Sealdah and Sector V, will see a rise in the number of daily trains from December 1 as the carrier will run 106 trains every day from Monday to Saturday.
Express stop
The Poorva Express between Howrah and New Delhi now has an additional stop at Jamtara in Jharkhand, said an Eastern Railway official. “The Howrah- New Delhi-Howrah Poorva Express will stop at Jamtara station for two minutes only,” said a release last week.
Road new name
Signage announcing the renaming of Lovelock Street in Ballygunge as Padmavibhushan Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Saheb Sarani will be put up on the road on December 16, a KMC official said.
