A Ranaghat-bound local train and an empty train headed to the car shed collided sideways near Sealdah station on Wednesday. There were no casualties, said an official of the Sealdah division. Local train services were disrupted for around an hour. The accident took place around 11.45am, about 200m from the car shed, said the official. Railway officials said an initial probe suggested that the driver of the empty train, which had more than one wheel jump the tracks, was at fault.
