Kolkata Traffic Police have posted a list of programmes that might affect the city traffic on Thursday (15.9.2022).

  • 12.30pm: Procession from College Square on College Street via Nirmal Chandra Street - Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road and SN Banerjee Road will reach in front of Nizam Restaurant on Hogg Street near the CMO building
  • 1pm: Rally from Ramlila Park to Statesman House via Moulali crossing - Creek Row - Ganesh Chandra Avenue – Chittaranjan Avenue will finally reach in front of Statesman House followed by demonstration at Statesman House

Traffic cases virtual court

A virtual court for disposal of traffic cases will be inaugurated at the fourth court, metropolitan magistrate, of Bankshal court on Thursday. The process of issuing e-challans will start at the Headquarter traffic guard, Howrah bridge traffic guard, Jorabagan traffic guard and South traffic guard.

Trains for festive season

Eastern Railway will run special trains between Sealdah and Kamakhya (Assam) between September 30 and November 26 to cater to the rush of passengers during the festive season. The train will leave Sealdah at 11.50pm every Friday and reach its destination at 5.45pm the next day. The Down train will leave Kamakhya at 11.15pm on Saturday and reach Sealdah at 10.40pm the next day.
